  • Heading to London to give a talk on art dealers and mediators of trade and taste at The Sotheby’s Institute of Art’s conference on The art market past and present: lessons for the future? Should be an interesting mix of practitioners and academics!
  • Payal and I have been invited by the International Studies in History and Business in History and Culture Institute (IESA) to contribute to an online course on the contemporary art market. Our module will focus on emerging art markets and will consist of 8 sessions featuring several podcasts each.
  • • My dear colleague Payal Arora and I received a grant from the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS) to organize a two-day workshop on The New Cultural Commons: The Art World, New Media, and a Democratic Promise in November of this year. We want to use this event to explore the impact globalization and the Internet on the art market. It is great to see our inter-disciplinary efforts (Payal being a media scholar) being recognized!
